Meet Lucinda

Ellie was found wandering the streets in Khartoum, Sudan in a severely emaciated and neglected state, covered in fleas and suffering from untreated health issues. Despite her attempts to approach people for help, she was repeatedly ignored until a kind individual noticed her outside their home and reached out to our rescue.

Following her rescue, Ellie was transported to our veterinary partners in Egypt, where she was placed into medical boarding for over a year due to the severity of her condition. During this time, she received intensive and ongoing treatment for serious, life-threatening parasitic infections and related complications, requiring continuous monitoring, medication, and supportive care.

Thanks to this extensive veterinary intervention and long-term rehabilitation, Ellie made a full recovery and was eventually cleared for travel. She has since been successfully transported to a loving adoptive family in Florida where she is now safe and thriving.
